Canoeing white water in the Southern French Alps in the Ecrins area.
Darren Joy from Fluid Skills is teamimg up with Adam Robson from TNR coaching to offer a week of Whitewater Canoeing in the Southern French Alps. Enjoy fantastic scenery and incredible rivers with us and stay in our lovely self catering apartments.
The week is aimed at open canoeists who are looking to be led and coached on grade two and three. We will look at improving your skills and confidence as we explore the best of the Ecrin classics.
we can also offer the British canoeing canoe leader training and canoe personal performance awards via this trip.
During the week as well as paddling a number of different rivers we will look at the following:
- River Paddling Techniques for Alpine Water
- Tactics to Safely Leave Grade II Behind
- Reading the River and Decision Making
- Group Paddling Strategies
- How to Choose your Favourite Ice Cream Flavour
Self Catering Accommodation in Guillestre
The apartments are spacious and well equipped, sleeping up to eight people in three bedrooms – 2 twin rooms (which can be converted into doubles), a bunk room, and a double sofa bed in the main lounge area. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, shower-room with WC and separate WC.
It's a short walk into town where there are shops, restaurants and bars.
Brexit transition
All European paddling courses in 2021 maybe subject to change or cancellation due to the ongoing brexit trade negotiations. Currently with no deal being signed, we are unsure about what permission may be needed or the format of working in Europe. As soon as this matter is resolved we will update this page. Please not all deposits will be refunded if work in Europe is not allowed, please contact us for further information.
