Become an Advanced Canoe White Water Leader!

• Do you want to lead a group of canoeists on grade 3(4) white water?
• Are you a canoeist or do you have experience paddling in advanced rivers?
• Do you want to support your club?

If so, the Advanced Canoe White Water Leader Award could be for you!

Typically run over two days, the Advanced Canoe White Water Leader training course will support the development of your personal skill level and leadership ability to lead a group of paddlers on grade 3(4) white water.

The training covers four key areas: 

• Personal paddling skills 
• Rescue skills 
• Safety, leadership and group skills 
• Theory 

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR THE TRAINING COURSE?

To get the most from your optional training course, you will need to feel comfortable in a canoe and be able to paddle on advanced rivers. We would recommend being at the Advanced Canoe Award level before booking onto your training.
