This two day white water leader course is designed to Asses your leadership skills what is required to lead a group of competent paddlers on class II and III white water. Safety, leadership and group skills are important elements of the leader Award and will be covered throughout the course.
Your river running skills will also become more fluid as you develop your ability to link strokes together to suit a variety of situations.
This leadership award not a coaching award. It is not suitable for introducing beginners to the sport.
The White water kayak Coach would be the suitable award for introducing people to the sport. The leader award is a Pre requisite for the white water kayak coach award.
A full detailed action plan during the course will assist in your personal development after your training course to help you continue your development towards assessment.
