This course aims to equip you as an advanced leader with the necessary personal paddling and river leading skills in order that they can make appropriate decisions, select the correct skills and decisions in a advanced moving water environment.
The leader awards are an excellent way to develop your paddling skills.
This two-day advanced white water Leader course is designed to build your leadership skills to lead a group of competent paddlers on Grade 3/4 white water. Safety, leadership and group skills are important elements of the leadership Award and will be covered throughout the course.
Your river running skills will also become more fluid as you develop your ability to link strokes together to suit a variety of situations.
The award is a leadership award not a coaching award. It is not suitable for introducing performers to advanced water.
The Advanced white water coach would be the suitable award for this. The Advanced leader award is a Pre requisite for the advance white water coach award.
A full detailed action plan during the course will assist in your personal development after your training course to help you continue your development towards assessment.
