Service Description
The Paddle Sports Instructor (PSI) course (governed by Paddle UK / British Canoeing Awarding Body) is a 2-day entry-level qualification. It trains you to lead and deliver safe, engaging taster sessions for beginners in canoeing, kayaking, or stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) in very sheltered water environments. The course is designed to take you from a personal paddler to a confident instructor. You will learn how to: Kit up a group and get them safely on and off the water. Plan and run familiarization activities, on-water games, and mini-journeys. Manage group safety and deliver rewarding sessions. Complete multi-craft assessments, covering canoes, kayaks, and SUPs Before registering for the PSI assessment course, you must meet the following requirements: Age Requirements: Be at least 14 years old (though you cannot independently run sessions until age 18). Safety Training: Complete the Paddlesport safety and rescue course (PSRC) course (must be completed at least 2 weeks prior to the PSI course). Personal Paddling Skills: Have enough experience to paddle comfortably on flat water (courses like the Paddle Explore Award).

Terms and Conditions of Booking Should you cancel, the following scale of charges will apply: Cancellation more than 60 days before the course starts - loss of deposit. (15% of the course total cost) Between 31 and 59 days before the course starts - loss of 60% of the total course cost Less than 30 days before the course starts - loss of 100% of the total course cost. Should we cancel, the following scale of charges will apply: 100% of the total course cost refund Any refunds via a pay pay payment lose 4% pay pal fee that they take for the transaction
