These two day are designed for paddlers who aspire to, or paddle in Advanced white water environments in open canoe 

In addition, the training is perfect for those seeking their BC Advanced leader (white water) award and a great add on for the advanced performance award.

The objective is to provide the underpinning knowledge and teach safe practical skills that can be applied appropriately.

A great course for all grade 3/4 white water open canoeists 

PRE-REQUISITES

• Moving water experience of grade 3/4
• Ability to swim

COURSE AIMS:

• To improve individuals awareness of safety skills in the advanced river environment
• To further develop personal survival skills
• To develop and practice advanced rescue techniques
• To develop and practice the need for structure in advanced emergency situations
• To outline advanced rescue protocols that prioritise the safety of the individual above all others
