UKCC Level 2 Transfer Course

Course Overview

This 2 day course will prepare any 'old' BCU Level 2 or 3 Coaches for a UKCC level 2 Assessment. The 2 days will look at additional coaching skills required at UKCC Level 2 standard,then will look at the paperwork process and prepare appropriate action plans for candidates to progress on to a UKCC Level 2 Assessment.

Pre-requisites

SCA/BCU/WCA Membership,Stamped CR Form, BCU 3 Star certificate in Canoe or Kayak, 'Old' BCU Level 2 or 3 Award and Logbook

Your trainers will need to see the following when they meet you at 0900:
 
• BCU Registration evidence – Your Original Stamped ‘CR’ Form.
• BCU/SCA/CANI/WCA comprehensive (full) membership.
• “Old” BCU level 2 Coach award as a minimum or higher award if wanting to transfer at this
level.
• Log Book.
• BCU 3 Star certificate in Kayak or Canoe for Boat Based candidates.
 
What We Cover
The UKCC Level 2 Transfer Course will look at all aspects of the UKCC Level 2 syllabus. The
course will start at 0900 when you will meet the staff. We will start by working through the transfer
course paperwork, the programme for the day and the transfer process. This should allow the
much of the day to be run in a practical way and might make use of any of the lecture rooms, The course will finish by giving you a clear action plan as to how to progress on to a UKCC Level
2 Assessment.
